The
Conservation Strategy (CS) is a document guiding management andmonitoring of
Yellowstone Grizzly Bears after delisting is approved.
How
will the States and the new Yellowstone Grizzly Bear Coordinating Committee (YGCC) properly manage Yellowstone Grizzly Bears effectively? What
limits, consequences and actions will hunting, human conflicts, nuisance
issues etc… be handled? Will
the Conservation Strategy be evaluated every (5) five years as proposed?
Who will ensure that the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE)
grizzly bear population within
the area called the Demographic Monitoring Area (DMA), are ensured a recovered
population in accordance with the established Recovery Criteria?

Yellowstone Ecosystem Subcommittee of the Inter agency Grizzly
Bear Committee meets in Cody, Wyoming, on November 16-17.
This is maybe the last meeting if they agree on the
Conservation Strategy, once this document is complete it will be sent back to
the USFWS for delisting to be approved. The Agenda for the meeting is linked below.
